Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child custody

I have been served a summons re: change to physical custody of a minor. Is it absolutely necessary to file the written response in person with the clerk of courts or, would sending the written response certified and with delivery confirmation serve the same purpose?

Re: child custody

You don't have to file your response in person. You can mail it, Fedex it, UPS it, send it in any way you want. Just make sure it makes it to the clerk by the 20th day and be sure to send a copy to the other side.
