Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
a child custody/support case originally filed in missouri has gotten interstated to florida. i would like to get some free help due to lack of finances. i am not sure how to get a lawyer on an income of 0 dollars. i have done a lot of research and am building the case myself. i just really need a lawyer at the hearings to speak correctly and to make sure i have eveything i need for my case. i have already tried the free legal service here in bay county, florida. they will not take the case. do you have any suggestions of anywhere else i can go?

Unfortunately, just like everyone else, lawyers can't work for free. They'd be out of business very quickly if they could. Besides that, in life I've found that you get what you pay for. Free is worth every penny. Is that the lawyer you want with you children's lives in his or her hands? Somehow, some way, find the money and hire a lawyer. You can't afford not to.
While I don't have any specific advice here, I must agree with Mr. Rose. Lawyers have to eat too. We have families to feed and businesses to run. Offering free service is just not an option. We're not all rich and greedy; more than ever quite poor and needing to support ourselves. Oh, did I mention the $130,000 worth of debt it takes to become a Stetson lawyer???
I'm sorry you can't find a free lawyer. But, please beg or borrow the money to hire someone like Mr. Rose to help you fight for your kids.
