Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
child custody/visitation
I have custody of our son, and my ex has normal visitation (everyother weekend/alternate holidays/summer) My ex told me that he wants our son one month this summer and informed me that he was going to take him out of state for a week. Can he do this without my permission?

Re: child custody/visitation
Not unless some agreeement specifics otherwise. Best practice would be for him to go before the judge and get the Court's permission. The age of the child also could play a factor in this. If you feel he is just going to do it and that you don't want it to happen, you can go back before the judge and state your reasons and the judge will make the call.
