Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support amount ridiculous need legal orientation

Ok here is the deal i have 4 kids 3 from first marriage 1 from last,on the first 3 we agreed the day of the divorce to set it at $600 a month. On the last i was paying $50 a week but then she decided to move from PR to Florida without even telling me when and where exactly.

A couple of months later i got deployed to Iraq almost a year and a half passed not know the where about of my younger daughter. In the meanwhile i also move to FL and after almost 3 years of not knowing where she was child support sent me a letter saying i owe $15,000 and the set amount for the youngest daughter was $680 a month. So know they are subtracting $680 for younger daughter plus $720 for the other three($600 set by court plus $120 for being late for a period of time without job)

So they were taking $1400 out of $1800,i went and filed a modification a year ago they told me i have to keep waiting in the the meanwhile i lost my apartment,my truck broke to expensive to fix and i had to quit my job because i may have to go back to PR because I'm homeless.Went to child support office and she told me there is nothing they can do,that i shouldn't have quit my job.

You need to appeal the case with the child support division. Since you can not afford an attorney, I suggest you contact legal aid. You will not be able to handle this case pro bono.
