Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Child support
I have a brother who is not married and the mother of his child of course has the baby. She has psychiatric problems and just told him that she didn't want the baby, for him to come pick her up. How does that work in terms on what he can do about obtaining the custody of the baby. He is with the police right now on his way to pick the baby up. What would he have to do legally once he has the baby? They are in Florida.

Re: Child support
Establish paternity first and then he can seek custody of the child.
Best he have an attorney in the county where the child is residing.

Re: Child support
He needs to talk to a Florida attorney. In GA, he would legitimate the child and seek custody.
