Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child support for daycare

My child (10 mos.old)is in a full-time daycare facility, because part-time childcare is not offered in my town. The problem: I have been a stay at home mother and took the first job i could find because the Judge was pressuring me to find something immediately. It took me 2 mos. to find this job.

My question: How would this work-out in court, asking that my husband pay a share of childcare costs. I work 25-30hrs a week at $8 an hr.

Is there a requirement for me as the custodial parent to have a full-time job in oder to have my child in a full-time facility, even though no other centers provide part-time care?

Re: child support for daycare

The Court can not require you to work full time if it is unavailable now and most child care centers charge the same whether it is for 25 hours or 40 hours, the dad will still be responsible for his share of the care.
