Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support -FL

I just got a final order for CS. I have to pay a lot, but cannot do so (the court imputed my earnings but I'm out of work). Is there anything I can do to pay a lower amount or nothing at all at this time?

Where were you when the judge set the amount? The Court imputed your earnings based on what? If you were not there and did not submit a financial affidavit, it is difficult to understand why you are paying a lot. If you are out of work, you may be able to file a motion to abate the amount until you find work, but you are still going to have to pay, including the arrearages.

You better see a local attorney on this soon.
