Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support in FL

I'm currently paying child support in orlando, FL. The custodial parent is soon getting married. Will this affect the support order in any way? Is it worth asking for a review of the amount of child support, if they were to take into account the couple's financial status and not just mine?

Would any of this be to my advantage?

Thanks for your help

Re: Child support in FL

A remarriage on the part of the custodial parent doesn't affect the child support obligations in and of itself. However, if the marriage changes her financial situation, then the answer is "yes": your obligations may change. If you think that is the case, then you may benefit by asking the court for modification of child support due to changes in circumstances.
