Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
child support
I just found out that i am a father through dna test of a 2 1/2 yr old. He was born in NY and resides in NC with his mother. I live in Florida. Is there a guideline as to how much i have to pay? Also, she claims she wants back child support. When we were together she cheated and when i found out she was pregnant she told me its not mine and that if i bothered her she would call the police for harassment. she told me that her child had a father and now about 2 months ago she got in touch with me to tell me its mine. She tells me that no name is listed on his birth certificate under father. I have not acknowledged him through court as yet. I also have another child who is 1 yr old.

How did this DNA test occur? Where did your sample come from? This seems very strange to me.
I can answer the question tho, there is a guideline to pay.

You would need to post this for North Carolina attorneys to respond to as the laws of North Carolina would govern the amount of child support which is owed.
