Child Support

My friend and I moved from Mi to here in Florida. Just before the move, he had gotten everything straightened out with CS up in MI. So he thought. He sent in all his paper work, the same paper work, they have been loosing for the past two years, paid up his child support. We get down here and three months later hear he has a bench warrent for not showing up for a friend of the court hearing. He knew nothing about the court date? What should he do? He did nothing wrong and now he is in trouble. No one was ever notified of a Friend of the court, court date. Can he take care of it down here or does he have to go back to MI???
