Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
child support
My husband and his ex adopted a child that was a ward of of the state. All insurance, college, medical expenses are paid by state of Fl. He receives free lunch and breakfast at school, free counseling, free ADHD meds, etc. Would child support guidelines be same monetary amount as per children not covered by state of fla? Childs mother also receives a $265 montly check from state to support child. Shouldn't child support obligation be reduced for husband in this case from regular guidelines

Re: child support
Generally speaking, child support is reduced by the amount of public assistance received for the child by the child support recipient.
