Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Child Support
I was given a Income Deduction Order. Do I have to have child support deducted out of my pay check, or do I have another option of paying child support? I'd like to pay child support on a bi-weekly basis, is that possible? If I do have to have it deducted out of my pay can I do it bi-weekly?

It depends on what the final judgment says. These terms are usually discussed prior to the final hearing. If this order is temporary, you can discuss what you would prefer with your ex as a permanent arrangement. If this is the final order, you have to motion the court who issued the order to change it to what you are asking for.

You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. This order can only be modified by the court. If it is a final order, it will be hard to modify unless both parties are in complete agreement and then the court would have to agree. It can only be done by a Motion for Modification and upon an Order granting said motion.
