Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Support issues

I live in Florida and my child's father lives in Connecticut we have an agreement that child support is $500 a month. If the fathers parents have paid it and the father has never actually paid. Is that acceptable? Also there has not been any payment of this in about almost a year. What are my rights and is our agreement nulled?

You will need to seek enforcement of the court's order.

Re: Child Support issues

As long as you get paid do not worry about the source, your ex or his parents.

As for the non-payment you have not given any information which would lead me to think that the agreement would be nullified. Was the agreement entered by the court? if it was, you can report the delinquency to the court and move for enforcement of the agreement. The fact that he is another state will not prevent the original court from entering an Order in the matter.
