Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Support Judgment

Court house has judgment filed for non payment of child support in Aug 2001. I owe no child support arrearage or otherwise. Child support office shows zero due as of 2007. Clerk of court says judgment still due and that I have to pay them $25 to see how much they say I owe and $2/yr for payment records which Child Support Office can't/won't supply me. Local attorney says order these papers then show them to the Clerk of Court to prove I don't owe. Huh? Pay the court for papers then send the same papers back? If the Clerk says I owe for the judgment which came from Child Support who won't give me their records, how can I fight this.

Re: Child Support Judgment

If you just sjow papers to the clerk, they'll probably just shrug and say there is nothing they can do. You need to file a motion to set aside judgment and correct or discharge arrearage.
