Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
child support modification
my husband went directly to court to file for modification because he is not working since 11/2007. the other partie got the noticed and hired a lawyer denying the charges because she does not want it to be modified. she wants to force my husband to pay her lawyer and for us to get a lawyer to fight the modification. my husband only wants modification, he pays $625 a month and is being difficult for us. i want to know if we have to by law to give the documents to her lawyer, in my understanding by doing this we alowing her demands but we want a lawyer point of view. we are fighting this along and we need all the help we can get.

Re: child support modification
You probably are required to provide all the documents to her lawyer. You can check Family Law Rule 12.285 for a general list of the documents you must provide. It's possible you may have to provide more documents than those listed in the rule. Additionally, you'll have to provide a financial affidavit.
Since your husband isn't working, it isn't very likely you'll have to pay her lawyer, but you should strongly consider getting one of your own.
