Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support modification laws

I would like to get my child support modified. I know since we where divorced 10 years ago both of our circumstances have changed. I am now on disability and can not work. Are there any laws regarding disability and child support? Does the change in support have to go thru the state? If I was getting assistance from the state, is that a concern? When modifying, can you get back pay if it is owed?
