Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support multiple states involved

My divorce was Florida. I currently live in Georgia and my Ex-wife and kids live in Massachusetts. She is now asking for more child support IAW Massachusetts guidelines. My questions is can she do this without Florida being involved, and in what state would I need an attorney to fight this?

To get the fullest possible answer, you should contact an attorney in both Florida and Mass. to see if their laws would impact your situation. Having said that, I am fairly confident that she would have to bring any action in GA, that being the state of your residence. The key question is whether FL has any law that allows its courts to retain jurisdiction for this purpose.
