Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Support question: My case was transfered from NJ to FL. As of today Florida has not picked up the case. My ex and I have been in contact, the support has not come to me but went back to him and he cashed the checks as per Child services. He knew the checks would be coming to him and he was to send them to me, we discussed it many times. Can I press charges for stealing. This child support is court ordered and this $27,000 is back support ,our daughter is 20

Contact child support enforcement division who issued this check to him and find out why he was allowed the check. If it was made payable to him , it is not stealing to cash it.

It wouldn't be theft for him to cash a check that was made out to him. That question is, why was the check made out to him? This is a very significant amount of money and, if I were you, I wouldn't depend on child services to collect it. You should hire your own private, Florida attorney to assist you.
