Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Support Question

I have a son out of wedlock, he has been living with me since he was 2, now he is 10. the court awarded me primary residential custody. His mom lives in another state. His mom has never paid any child support and she has not been in contact for quite some time. Now she is wanting to come back into his life, so i have asked her to help with child support, she refuses, our son is ADHD, labeled as disabled. She is unemployed, but is married to a high rank officer in the Air Force. How will the court decide how much she has to pay? Will they look at their combined gross income? Can i ask for back child support? and additional expenses for medical and educational treatment costs?

Re: Child Support Question

No. Unless she has some assets or income, she will not have to pay. Her rights to visitation have nothing to do with support.
