Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
While trying to get child support reduced, my Boyfriend got a letter stating from the Circuit Court stating that there is a "Motion to Intervene and to Amend Style of Case" The Department of Revenue is now involving the Internal Revenue Service in the case of the Child Support of David and Jayne. Pursuant to Fla. Fam. I. R. P. 12.040(c)(2), which represents the undersigned IV-D agency may only address issues concerning determination of Paternity, establishment, modification and enforcement of support obligations. Will not address issues of visitation and custody.
So, the IRS is getting involved with this case. Signed Attorney General Bill McCollum
What could this letter mean? Did Jayne, (who receives the child support from David), do something wrong or illegal?

It probably means that the IRS wants to determine if they can intercept his tax return. Normally, they just do it. But you should show it to a family law attorney to be sure.
