Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Support for son

My ex and I never had court child support. We agreed to have me pay $400.00/ month for son's bills etc. At time we both lived in Md. and within 20 miutes of each other. I moved to NJ and she to Pa. We continued same payments however I always had to drive the 3 hrs to get him. in Oct 04 she moved to Fl. and I was only verbally notified less than 1 month before she left and I believe at the time she and her husband had already sold Pa. house and were current Fl land owners. I researched a little bit and saw that according to Fl law I should have been notified in writing. Now to see my son I have to pay to fly there or fly him up on top of my $400 /month payments. Do I have legal recourse to make this situation more fair?
