Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child support was stop

my ex-husband wrote his job a letter to his job to stop child-support, when our 16 year old daughter decided to live with him. thing is there is a court order and we still have our son 14, living with me. I asked my ex to do the right thing and get a modification. instead he wote a letter to his job to stop child support and they did. I called and found out his job never received the court order for child-support deduction. I faxed this to yhe office manager and confirmed she received this. two pay periods have gone by and I have received no child support. What are my rights. My ex-husband said he was going to get a lawyer, which is fine as I want a modification, but can his job stop child support without a court order?

Re: child support was stop

They shouldn't. You may have to go back to court and also seek payment of your attorney fees.
