child support

ok heres the thing..my daughters father died in august we didnt know until october..well he owed probably about 18,000 in support..and didnt pay much over the last 18 years the last payment i got was maybe in 2002 ..well i was looking on line at records and came across where many times over the years he went to jail and got bonded out and i know usually that goes to the parent hes owed support to, but the stare of florida had closed the case a few years ago because they couldnt find him well hes been in the same city this whole time..do i have any kids of case against the state or anything like that

Re: child support

Bail money only goes to the mother when the father is jailed for nonpayment of support. You don't have a clam against the state. If he left any kind of estate (any money or property when he died), you would be entitled to it, even over his will.
