Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Child support
I am an umarried father who doesn't have a legal situation with my daughter's mother. My daughter will be 18 in a few months I have voluntarily provided both cash and non-cash support since day one. The mother now wants more money. Can she sue me for it? Can she sue me for back child support even though I have records of payment?

She can always go to court and sue for child support, however, you would have good arguments against any claim she makes if the amount paid is similar to that set forth in the Child Support Guidelines as listed in Florida Statutes 61.30. You can find a worksheet and information on the guidelines at:

She certainly can try. If you have been consistent and kept accurate records, there should not be a problem, apart from the aggravation.
Re: Child support
If she takes you to court, then you should, since you have receipts, get a credit toward whatever is owed. Why would someone wait until a child has reached majority to ask for support?
You must have been absent for a part of the time, no?
