When a child turns 18 does the child support obligation automatically stop or must the court, or wherever, be informed to make it stop.

Child support continues at 18 when the child graduates or if the child graduates before reaching 19

It depends on the language in the Court Order. Some have termination language so there is nothing left to do. Some do not have language and action by a Judge is necessary. Have the document reviewed by a local attorney or speak to the local Clerk of Court.
