Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have child visitation with my daughter from 12-26-09 to 1-2-10. On 1-1-10 I had a police officer at my front door saying that they recieved a call about the well being of my daughter that she was endangered. The call was put out by my ex-wife. What should I do? What can I do? When the police officer came to my door, we had just finished dinner, my entire family was stunned about the call and what the officer was at my door for. The officer had questioned my daughter to see if everything is fine, she said yes we are all playing the Wii. I have a lawyer that will be informed about this incident Monday morning. Is this harassment? Can I sue for mental damage towards my daughters well being. She was questioning my fiannce and I the entire rest of the night, we told her the truth ( by the way my daughter is 6) that her mother had lied to the police and tried getting daddy in trouble. Please help me out. Thanks!

You have a lawyer and he or she would be a better source of advice than anything that someone can tell you here because your lawyer knows more of the relevant facts. That said, if sahe filed a false report, that is a matter for the police. You probably can't sue for mental damages and doing so would itself hurt your daughter, so I would not recommend it. Sounds like you handled it correctly with your daughter.
