Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Visitation and Fathers Rights

My son fathered a child in Nov of 2006. He wants to be active in his son's life. This is my first grandchild along my husbands. The mother has refused visitation on serval occaisions. She has not allowed the baby to visit our home at all. We provide support along with insurance for him. Can you please advise us of what we need to do and what my sons rights are as the father in the state of florida and what we need to do to secure his future with his son.

Re: Child Visitation and Fathers Rights

You need to file a Petition to Establish Paternity and for Other Relief. Forms should be avaialable at your local Clerk of Court. Most Courts frown upon the withholding of visitation.
