Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child visitation

I currently live in Virginia Beach, Va and my daugther lives in Pembroke pines, Fla. I want to arrange visitation priviledges in which I am able to have her with me and/or my family. Do I need a lawyer? Do I need to go to Fla to start paper work?

The paperwork has to be done in Florida, and having an attorney would certainly be helpful.
