Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

children abduction

my wife left the country(having total custody of our children) and was under state supervision for a DUI that happened over 1 yr ago. I am OK with her leaving the country and do not wish to file charges but the safe children coalition are pressuring me threatening with imprisonment for not knowing or telling where they are. How can I defend myself? I know they are OK and not in danger

Re: children abduction

This action apparently has nothing to do with custody issues between two parents. The agency you mentioned probably has no standing againt you. However, if she was on probation and the DA, for instance, asks you to divulge your ex's location, you might be standing in the way of law enforcement if you do not. If I were you, I would post this question again under "Criminal Law" and see what a criminal attorney says.

if she left with your consent, they have no standing.
