Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My children are being homeschooled, without my permission. i was lied to about their schooling initially, originally being told they would be attending public school. when i called the school district to find out if enrolled, only then did mother admit they would be homeschooled in florida. They have not followed the rules according to title XLIII, s.1002.41. they have yet to register with district superintendent, no written letter, nothing. they seem to think they can just pull out of school. I know this is being done for purposes of isolating my children. i received custody for 1 year previously because mom and step-dad tried to leave state with children which was reported to me and officials by school, giving me emergency custody. She got them back. I fear for my childrens education...what can i do to force them to send my children to public school. I think there is other neglect and abuse in home, process of trying to get custody, but practically have to twist my lawyers arm to do so. in meantime, i want my children in school! the entire case gets much more complicated, as i am sure they all do. this matter is very urgent and important to me, but I am running out of money.

Pardon me for being blunt, but duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, if you aren't happy with your present representation, I suggest seeking a 2nd opinion from other counsel.

If the kids are not attending school, and if mom is not home schooling them per the statutory requirements, the filing of an Emergency Motion might be appropriate.

An internet inquiry is no substitution for an in-office consultation with an attorney.

If your situation falls within the Greater Tampa Bay area, I would be happy to schedule you for a no obligation half hour office consultation. The main office is in Dunedin, with a satellite location in Tampa.
