Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Children

How can i protect my children from my in-laws they are cruel mentally and sometimes physical with my children and when we don't let them see the kids they make up stuff and call HRS or the police. I am afraid my kids are going to get taken from me. They are very mean people. We are always getting accused of calling HRS on them but with 2 chronically ill little boys and a 15 year old we just don't have the time to play games with these people. They are my husband's family and they want us to change our last name to something different from thiers.

Re: Children

FLORIDA LAW: Although grandparents have the right to visit their grandchildren, if there are signs of abuse then that right can be taken away. The best interests of the children are the most important factor. If it is not in the best interests of the children for them to visit their grandparents then maybe legal action would be appropriate.
