Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I got my child's ear pierced without consulting with the non custodial parent. It ended up that the earing got lodged in the child's earlobe and had to be surgically removed. The non-custodial parent is responsible for half of all medical bills according to our court papers. Can he refuse to pay his half because I did not get his consent to have my child's ears pierced? If he cannot do so then how do I address this to him?

I think most judges will agree that you don't need consent to get your child's ear pierced. The other parent is responsible for his half of the medical bill, and you can enforce it through a motion for contempt or enforcement.
