Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My childs father lives in Georgia, I live in Florida. I have been a resident of Florida for going on 4 years. The father has not wanted anything to do with my son for years. And I have given him every open door to see him. He has slandered me all over the internet, harrassed me in emails, had his g/f harrassin me in emails. Now, his g/f emailed mea few days ago saying they going to "seek visitation", to my son after 4 years of not doin so. Im thinkin this is to harrass or mess with my life, I have here. He has sent me emails telling me that he is going to sign over rights to my son, was doing this to get out of child support. My question,.. If I live in Fl. and he lives in Ga., my son is a resident here, but was born in Ga. How hard will this be for him and what would he have to do? Will he have to come to Florida for everything, as far as court dates and visitation? My son dont know him, if he does get visitation. How long would he have to have for supervised visitation? Sorry for such a long entry! Thank you so much!

HOw is your son - this makes a lot of difference. Is he paying child support? Is he timely with the support? Is your ex's g/f clean of any criminal records? If he wishes to see your son, he must petiton the court here in Florida as Georgia doe not have any jurisdiction over you.
