Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My child's mother wants money from me. I am currently not employed. She called the police and filed a false claim against me saying that I wouldn't let her leave her house and scratched her. She later sent me a text message saying that if i give her $250 she will drop the charges. Is there anything I can do?

Save the text message. She may have committed extortion against you, and, at the very least, you can use it against her in your case. In the meantime, you may get charged with false imprisonment and battery, so you should speak to a lawyer.
