Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I had childsupport modification (For one child) for six months in the State of Florida and my ability to claim the child on the income tax every other year for the child was taken away by a magistrate not the original judge who resided over my case. The modification has been taken away and I now have to pay the full amount which is 50%.

Is there any chance that I can claim my child on income tax? Or do I have to get a lawyer and petition the courts to allow me to claim the child on income tax?

You need an attorney - file the correct mofification of child support and get you ex to agree to the original terms as to taxes - otherwise you are on the hook at the magistrate has filed.
