Childsupport/alimony

My ex was ordered to pay both

childsupport and alimony. I moved

out of state and haven't found a

job yet can I go back to court and

get more childsupport. My alimony

is permanent until I die or remarry.

Judges are reluctant to increase child support where you cause the increased need. In other words, it's not fair for you to move, then, because you can't find a new job, you ask for more support. Nevertheless, it is possible for you to have support increased, so you may want to give it a shot. No law prevents it; it's just one of those things that's up to the judge.
