Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am not sure if I choose the right topic but here is my question with a little background. I am 21 I went into foster care for the final time when I was 12. My brother and two half sisters went into foster care two years ago. All three were in foster homes for several months. My brother was placed with me until he turned 18. One sister (8) was eventually placed with her father and the other (5) was placed with her godparents. The father of the 8 year old does not like me and the god parents are the same. They both wanted my brother and myself to lie for them in court against my mother and we refused. The is more than enough against my mother to have to lie. The judge said we are allowed unsupervised visitation but made no order. My brother and I have not seen our little sisters in almost a year. Can we get court - ordered visitation? Is there a law in Florida that allows us to have visitation with them?

The law allows for biological parents to have visitation, not siblings, but if you file a motion for visitation, many judges will allow it. It's probably worth a try. You should contact a local family law attorney.
Contact the judge who stated you are allowed unsupervised visitation. Ask that he prepare an Order to that fact. Otherwise, you will have to file a motion for visitation - this may or may not work. This would be a good case for an attorney who wants to set a precedence in the law for sibling visitaiton.
