Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

CIVIL PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE

Chapter 47

VENUE

47.141 Change of venue; same jurisdiction.--The order granting change of venue shall transfer the action to a court of the same jurisdiction in another county. If the judge of such court is disqualified, some other court shall be selected.

Question.

if this case was transferred from Orange County to Osceola for wrong venue,

then I had a hearing officer disqualified in Osceola County would that allow me to have the case transferred again ? Thats how I read the above.

Remembering that the judicial Canons 1 2 3 hold the hearing officer to the same standards as a Florida Judge. So for all intent they are the alike in this action.

No, the case just goes to a different hearing officer or judge in the same county.
