Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

How do we collect a judgement

My husband and I have a judgement against another individual but don't know what we can do to enforce or collect on this. What steps can we / shoud we take? Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Re: How do we collect a judgement

Assuming the judgment is a Florida judgment, is still in effect, and the debtor has not filed bankruptcy, the answer is: it depends. For example, if the debtor is employed, you might be able to garnish his wages. If he is self-employed or unemployed, that option is not available. It all depends on his situation as to whether you can collect. If you believe that he has assets or the means to pay, you should contact an attorney in your area.
