Does the state of Florida recognize commom law marriages?

No, by statute for at least 20 years.

Florida has not recognized common law marriages for over 25 years. In order for a marriage to be valid, you must obtain a license from the Clerk of the Court, have the ceremony and the license must be returned to the Court. Currently, a pre marriage course is also required.
