Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

common law in florida

I have had a man living with me on and off for ten years with no consecutive years longer than 4 or 5 years in a row. He is now wanting half of everything I have like real estate property that I am selling or whatever. What is the law about this situation?

Unless you did something to indicate that you were making a gift to the man, he has no interest in your property with a possible exception for any improvements that he might have made. The law in Florida is clear on this matter.
