Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Common Law Marriage in Florida

Yes thank you for any help. My common law husband and I moved from Rhode Island to Florida after being together for over 25 years. We have lived in Florida for 6 years and I recently heard that Florida does not have common law marriage? Is that true and what should we do if in fact it is true ?

Thank you
