Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

We had just completed the process of getting the judge to sign off on our Intent to Relocate form as we moved from Florida to Maine. My wife has a son from a previous marriage. This was completed and then we fired our attorney for trying to charge us more money as we moved forward on getting the custoday arrangement modified due to the difference in locations. We have not completed this part yet. Our lawyer has since filed a Motion to Wthdraw from the court asking the judge to decide. She has also attached a request for a bench warrant if we do not show up. Can you please let me know what happens if we do not show up in court on that date since we are in Maine and the hearing is in Florida? Can we attend via the phone? How do we ask for this/can we request a continuance? Please help.

Call the office of theJudge, ask to speak to the Judicial Assistant and make arrangements for telephone conference. YOu may have to submit a request for same via fax. The JA can help you obtain that form.
