confused with form

I have filed an answer to petition and counter-petition over 20 days ago and not recieved an answer. I downloaded a form for Motion for Default but the form refers to the petitioner requesting a default against the respondent. Should I re write it to say default against petitioner? Or can I file for default since I am not the petitioner? I am confused.

Yes....you can file for a default as the respondent just the same as if you were the Petitioner. The form is only a guide and does not cover all situations. You have to adjust the form to fit your needs.
