Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Contempt

During the court hearing on temporary relief my attorney seemed to sit on her hands and do nothing. So, the judge ordered me to pay $2000 in 45 days towards my wifes attorney's fees. I do not have this kind of money so I now must return to court for contempt. I want to address the court on my own so the judge can see the facts. What are my rights and in your opinion what should I do?

Re: Contempt

Explain to the court why you cannot pay. Bring all your financial statements, bank accounts, stock accounts, W2, your monthly expenses etc to prove to the court you do not have the $. Ask for a payout schedule if all else fails. Good luck.
