Contempt of Court

I have lived in Florida with my daugter and my ex-husband lives in New York and was required by court order established years ago to carry health, vision and life insurance on my daughter but has not done so. I have carried group health insurance on my daughter over the years since he would not comply with the order and paid out of my pocket for dependent coverage. I have taken care of all medical expenses and insurance premiums. My daughter is now almost 21. Can I sue my ex-husband for the total amount I have paid over the years in group health insurance premiums for the dependent insurance coverage I carried? The amount I have paid out just over the last four years is over $12,000.00.
