Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Contempt Of Court Order
I have visitation rights and may x-wife has refused me to see my son for over a year now. I have made several attempts to contact her but address and phonenumber have changedI filed papers with the court and I have a court date. She has recently married a man that has a rap sheet a mile long. with domestic issues, theft and trying to choke a woman to death. he has served time for these things. my x-wife filed with court that he was pushing and verbally abusive to her and her 3 kids. but she still married him. All 3 kids have different dads. The middle child is mine. What are my chances of getting custody. She lives on welfare and is constantly moving from home to home and school to school and is nowliving with her mom who just got divorced over domestic issues. Thanks!!

Re: Contempt Of Court Order
To gain custody we would have to show that it would be in the best interest of the child to change custody to the other parent. Your facts sound good in your favor. This does not sound like a safe home for your child. Feel free to contact me if you need more information.
