If a divorce is final, can an exspouse
take a you back to court because he said the ex still has some of his
property? Also, what if the ex owes
the other 2 months of alimony, plus
the tax stimulis rebate and half of
what was paid for sons medical bills. This was all agreed to in the
final divorce settlement signed by
the judge.Isn't the final agreement
the final say,the day the divorce was final???????????

Re: contempt
If something was left out of the divorce that is unrelated to children, you can't go back to court. A divorce can't be "reopened" to settle property matters. If property is left out of a divorce, the matter must be forgotten or settled in civil court as if the two people were never husband and wife.
If a divorce judgment or settlement agreement is broken, a motion for contempt must be filed in family court if it involves alimony or the children (including child support), or it must go to civil court if it involves something else.
