contempt

my recent divorce aggreement states I have to pay the mortgage and equity line on home that ex wife has exclusive use and posession of.

until house is sold or I will be held in contempt

after house is sold Iam to pay child support and temporay alimony for 2 years. Iam unemployed and cant pay!!! what can I do ??? Iam in th constructon industry this recession has ruined my business and in the mean time shes liveing there working and has a live in lover working too!!! one son 11yo

Re: contempt

Inability to pay can sometimes be used as a defense to contempt. You may also be able to have the alimony and child support reduced or stopped temporarily while you find a job. A judge may also stop the alimony because she has a live-in lover. You should speak to a family lawyer about these possibilities.
