Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Converting a Purge to a Bond

A friend has been arrested for failing to appear in court on a child custody case. A purge has been set at $8,000 with no bond. The defendant can not afford to pay the $8,000. Will the court convert the purge to a bond so the defendant can work and pay child support?

Re: Converting a Purge to a Bond

Hi:

You should really retain counsel and they will have to determine all of the facts and circustances. If warranted they can request the Court to modify the purge for a bond.

Good Luck
